Where it wins, and where it does not

Three things change when rendering takes a minute. You iterate while the design is still open rather than after it is frozen. You stop rationing images, so the client sees the option you were unsure about. And you stop buying hardware for a job that runs in a browser tab.

Does this replace V-Ray, Lumion or Enscape?

For still images and early client conversations, it usually does, and it costs far less per image. For animation, walkthroughs, exact sun studies and shot-by-shot control of every light and material, a traditional GPU renderer is still the better tool.
